Job Description

The Department of Cognitive Sciences at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) seeks to make an appointment to an Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychology. The position will be of interest to those with expertise in the areas of social psychology or affective science. The role holder will be a member of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS). He/she will be recognized in his/her field، developing and maintaining a high-profile and will become a leading member of a dynamic، cutting edge research culture، having access to the excellent research facilities which UAEU offers. The successful applicant will have a vital role to play in the development and achievement of CHSS within the context of the strategic goals of UAEU، leading research and scholarship in his/her field. The UAEU is located in Al Ain city (Emirate of Abu Dhabi)، on the border with Oman and about 1.5 hours’ drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities. Candidates will have a PhD in psychology in the areas of social psychology or affective science. Duties involve teaching، conducting research، advising students and serving on dissertation committees. All teaching is delivered in English. Therefore، native or near-native English is required.
